Sigal Vax
Dr. Sigal Vax is the Director of Personalized Services at JDC-Israel Unlimited. Her work is focused on the development and implementation of innovative practices and mechanisms aimed at empowering people with disabilities to achieve greater autonomy and independence. Sigal is an Occupational Therapist by training, with a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences from Boston University.
Ahmir Lerner
As the CEO at Beit Issie Shapiro, Ahmir Lerner is passionate about creating systematic change in the social sector through leadership and innovation. Holding a first degree in Economics and Banking from the London School of Economics and an MBA from the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Center, he extends his expertise as a mentor for NGO managers and delivers lectures on leadership in the nonprofit sector.
Mali Berlinsky
Ashkelon Municipality Culture Coordinator for People with Disabilities
Mali Berlinsky is Ashkelon Municipality’s Culture Coordinator for People with Disabilities. She leads the community of families with disabilities with care in Baltimore’s partner city, Ashkelon Israel. Mali has worked for the Ashkelon Municipality Division of Culture, Youth and Sport since 2020. Mali is mom to four great children, three of whom have autism.
Aaron Kaufman
Aaron Kaufman joined The Jewish Federations of North America’s Washington DC office in January 2016 and focuses on disability and poverty issues. Having Cerebral Palsy, Aaron feels he brings a unique perspective to JFNA’s efforts on behalf of people with disabilities. Outside of advocacy, he was the instructor in Project SEARCH Montgomery, a job-training program for young adults with significant disabilities. Aaron graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a BA in American Studies.
