On the Ground, The Associated in Action

100% of funds raised will be transferred to provide life-saving humanitarian aid through our partners at the Jewish Agency for Israel, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and the Israel Trauma Coalition. Thanks to your generosity, we are already making an impact on the ground in Israel. We have already seen an incredible outpouring of support from our community as we mobilized to send much-needed resources to Israel. To date, we have:

Helped Ashkelon residents relocate to safer areas in Israel.

Provided life-saving support to Magen David Adom and Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon to treat the thousands injured.

Sent donations to the Jewish Agency of Israel’s Fund for Victims of Terror to provide emergency aid to families who lost life and property, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee to aid people with disabilities and the Israel Trauma Center to help them with the ongoing trauma response.

Provided travel expenses so that firefighters and doctors were able to go to Israel and partner with emergency responders. This work is being done in conjunction with Emergency Volunteer Projects.

The Jewish Agency’s Fund for Victims of Terror (FVOT) is often the first non-medical responder for families and individuals who have been impacted by acts of terror and violence, providing immediate grants to rebuild homes damaged by rocket fire, and providing for long-term rehabilitation and post-trauma care.  They are already estimating the need for significant additional funding given the scope of the crisis.

The Jewish Agency is part of the government’s emergency roundtable and is ensuring the safety of thousands of Olim in dozens of absorption centers, caring for the thousands of residents in Amigour senior housing, and is in touch with the thousands of Masa participants and participants in the Agency’s pre-army academies and youth villages.

American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) is caring for older adults and individuals with disabilities to ensure they receive services needed and maintain their individual levels of well-being.

The Israel Trauma Coalition (ITC) is working closely with the IDF’s Home Front Command and local authorities to help address immediate needs, and they are establishing a Resiliency Center in Ashkelon to address local needs and to help support emergency teams and social workers on front lines

In Ashkelon, they are establishing space for firefighters and emergency personnel that are placed there to tend to the crisis and we are helping to provide generators, food and water, mattresses, games and activities for the children while they take cover in bomb shelters.

We are tracking closely the needs on the ground and are responding quickly, thanks to your help. Learn more about how the Campaign is helping in Israel.
