Israel is Under Attack

On October 7, one of the darkest days in modern Israeli history, we watched in horror following the unprovoked, multi-front terrorist attacks that rattled Israel – the most significant attack since the Yom Kippur War 50 years ago. We continue to hear about civilian casualties, hostages and the widespread destruction.

This war is unlike any before. And so are the needs.

We have launched an emergency campaign to support and aid our allies on the ground in Israel including our partners in Ashkelon who have been gravely impacted. Funds raised will be immediately transferred to provide lifesaving humanitarian aid, trauma relief and other emerging needs.

We can help by donating to The Associated’s Emergency Fund for Israel at War.

Your support is not only a lifeline but also a symbol of solidarity, demonstrating that even in the face of adversity, we can come together to make a difference.

This is expected to be a long and difficult war.

The Associated’s support through our annual campaign make it possible for our primary partners, The Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), respond immediately when emergencies like this take place.

There is no safe mechanism for shipping blood. MDA needs to be able to trace blood donations from the recipient to the original donors. Shipping blood across borders is against best practices for blood banks because the recipient blood bank didn’t conduct any of the safety-testing or have access to the original donor.

We are in close contact with our partners on the ground and are being told that at this point in time funds are more effective so that organizations in Israel can purchase items to their specifications.
