Matzohball 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Join us for the 20th Anniversary of the Matzohball 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, June 9th! Since 2004, Temple Isaiah has partnered with We Promote Health to combine the Matzohball 5k with Howard County Family Wellness Day. We welcome runners, walkers, and joggers of all ages. Family Wellness Day includes interactive health screenings & wellness related booths as well as the Fire & Rescue Pump-A-Thon and nationally acclaimed Kangaroo Kids. Temple Isaiah in Clarksville, MD sponsors and plans this unique event every year, complete with the “Running of the Rabbis” and the “Matzoh Belles” cheering on the runners as they follow the pathways around beautiful Centennial Lake in Ellicott City, Maryland! There is always an iconic shirt and running bags that include a certificate for a cup of Matzohball soup from Mikey & Mels in Clarksville, MD. Every child participating in the 1 mile run/walk receives a finisher award.

With your support, the total over the years is expected to exceed $100,000 raised for three crucial Howard County charities. Participant fees support HopeWorks, Grassroots Crisis Intervention and Dream Builders. Lace up to race, walk or just enjoy a day of celebrating memories and miles with us on June 9th!
