Robin Gerber is a powerful speaker, best-selling author and historian. In late 2020, she was featured on CNN’s “First Ladies” series in the episode on Eleanor Roosevelt. She has also appeared on the History Channel, Biography Channel, The PBS Newshour, CBS and FOX.
Robin’s articles have appeared in USA Today, The Washington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer and numerous other newspapers and magazines including The Ojai Quarterly and Ojai Monthly. Robin is the author of the bestseller, Leadership the Eleanor Roosevelt Way: Timeless Strategies from the First Lady of Courage.
Her biography of the founder of Mattel, Ruth Handler: Barbie and Ruth: The Story of the World’s Most Famous Doll and the Woman Who Created Her is being developed as a television series. Robin’s book Katharine Graham: The Leadership Journey of an American Icon explores the life of the legendary publisher of The Washington Post newspaper. And Robin’s novel Eleanor vs. Ike (Harper/Avon) imagines Eleanor Roosevelt as a candidate for President in 1952.
Robin is an inspirational keynote speaker, telling moving stories from the lives of Eleanor Roosevelt, Katharine Graham and other great leaders. Clients include Bank of America, the AARP, The Culinary Institute, Ameriprise, West Point, the U.S. Forest Service, the Council for Excellence in Government, The 3rd Quality Conference of the European Union, and many universities, colleges, girls’ schools, nonprofits and government agencies.
Prior to becoming an author, Robin practiced law in Washington, D.C., worked for the House Committee on Education and Labor, and as a union lobbyist on Capitol Hill.
