Wednesday Morning Series With Dr. Rosann Catalano: A Rabbi And A Theologian Walk Into A Coffee Shop

Wed, 6 Dec, 2017 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM

This series of five diverse classes will be facilitated by Rosann Catalano, Ph.D. along with Rabbi Steven Schwartz, Rabbi Dana Saroken, and Homayra Ziad, Ph.D.

Few would argue that we are living in a nation at war with itself. We’re in a world dangerously close to veering off its axis; religious traditions are trying to offer guidance and meaning in a time perilously devoid of both. Being religious in such a world requires courage, stamina, a sense of humor, and friends with whom to share ideas and a cup of coffee. Rabbi Saroken and Dr. Catalano invite you to join in for conversation and coffee. Our time together will begin with some teaching and reflections on the week’s topic followed by conversation. Topics have been selected that speak both to our hearts as well as to our minds as we attempt to make sense of and   create meaning in our disoriented world. Sessions will be informal and will focus on the following conversation starters:   Week 2, December 6 - A poem that anchors my soul and a prayer that speaks to my heart
