Bring your lunch. We’ll bring the dessert.

Join us for a special edition of Books and Bites with educator and historian Eric Singer, who will discuss his acclaimed new biography, Oppenheimer and the Atomic Bomb.

Although written for younger readers, this compelling version of the Pulitzer Prize-winning biography offers fresh insights for adults—especially those fascinated by science, history and ethics. Singer breathes new life into the complex story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the brilliant and conflicted mind behind the atomic bomb. Learn how Oppenheimer’s legacy has shaped generations and continues to raise urgent moral questions today.

Praise for the book includes:
“A meticulous account of the rise and fall of a brilliant scientist.” — Kirkus Reviews
“An undivided pleasure to read, excellent for classroom use as well as independent reading.” — Booklist

Books will be available for purchase and signing thanks to The Ivy Bookshop. A light dessert will be provided. Free and open to the community.
