A YOGAhike is like mindful interval training: We alternate hiking and standing yoga stops. The 2.5-mile, dynamic hike allows us to connect to each other, while the yoga stops root us firmly into the natural world and into our experience of self. We mindfully soak in the forest’s aromas of damp wood, attuning ourselves to the sounds of rustling leaves and joyful birds, noticing the feeling of plush moss and solid granite boulders under our feet, admiring the gurgling of a stream while balancing on a rock above it.
