Come spend a playful, meaningful morning with your family at the newly transformed Jewish Museum of Maryland in the heart of Baltimore’s historic Jonestown neighborhood. As a participatory museum, we invite you and your loved ones—across generations—to step into the stories, spaces, and spirit of Jewish Maryland.
What to Expect:
Explore Together
Get your hands on the newly released JMM Journeys activity book created by our Public Art Coordinator, Naomi Rose Weintraub. Discover portals, mezuzahs, Baltimore landmarks, and more as you move through our reimagined Museum spaces and interactive displays.
Enjoy Storytime
Join us for a reading of The Story of the Five Balloons, the English adaptation of a beloved Israeli children’s book. Presented by Mother Goose on the Loose, this joyful session includes colorful scarves, music, and imaginative movement.
Recommended for families with children ages 3+
Make Your Mark
Add your artistic flair to a reimagined Star of David stained glass window from the historic Lloyd Street Synagogue. Your artwork will be captured at our Animation Station and added to a growing community animation project by JMM’s new audio/video Production Studio.
Experience Maryland Jewish History
Discover the heartfelt family stories of Dr. Betsy Diamant-Cohen in a lively, intergenerational presentation of Picturing Past + Present. Learn how your own family’s photos can become part of this community-sourced installation.

Become a Little Librarian
Bring a favorite book to donate to the Lombard & Lloyd Library—a give-what-you-can, take-what-you-need community library at the corner of our campus.
