Many Jews today champion the value of tikun olam — repairing the world — but what does it really mean? Join Rabbi Jessy on a journey through the different meanings and applications of this notion that has come to be a hallmark category of Jewish identification. We will discuss its merit as a defining identity trait of many current-day Jews and challenge the notion that it stands in its own category, separate from other clusters of Jewish activity like ritual and observance. This is a great series for those who gravitate to tikun olam as a concept and those looking to better understand what it is and how it fits into one’s Jewish (and human) life.
