The Power of Education

The Associated’s Center for Countering Antisemitism and Hate is partnering with educators to provide resources that teach against antisemitism.

We have work to do in educating the next generation about antisemitism and its ramifications.

From the hostile anti-Jewish rhetoric on college campuses to the significant gaps in Holocaust education and the increasing instances of Holocaust denial, The Associated’s Center for Countering Antisemitism and Hate will provide age appropriate programming to educate and counter these misperceptions.

Antisemitism is growing. It is like deja vu. Here we go again. That is why I started speaking at schools and colleges.

Breaking New Ground

Here are just some of the ways the Center is paving the way towards meaningful partnerships with public and private education for students in K-12 schools and at colleges and universities.

Raising Awareness

We believe that the fight against antisemitism is a collective responsibility that transcends individual communities. Antisemitism is not merely a Jewish issue; it’s a reflection of societal intolerance. By turning a blind eye to it, we inadvertently grant society a broader license to harbor hatred. We urge every individual to care about combatting antisemitism, contributing to the creation of a more compassionate and caring community.

The Associated’s Partnerships with Baltimore-Area Hillels

Beth H. Goldsmith visits Goucher and Maryland Hillels, both funded by The Associated, to talk with staff and students about what is happening on college campuses.

Holocaust Education

Through The Center, The Associated will strengthen our existing educational efforts in our schools, providing learning experiences that address the Holocaust, rising antisemitism and other related topics.

Holocaust survivor testimony is the most effective and valuable method we have to teach the Holocaust to today’s students. The Baltimore Jewish Council, part of The Associated network, works with local schools to place appropriate speakers.

The Jewish Museum of Maryland and the Baltimore Jewish Council

The Jewish Museum of Maryland and Baltimore Jewish Council, part of The Associated network, provide Teacher Workshop programs that ensure people never forget the tragedy that was the Holocaust.
