The Myerberg Center
Around the Table with Beth H. Goldsmith

We are taking Around the Table on the road and visiting The Edward A. Myerberg Center.

The Myerberg, a program of Comprehensive Housing Assistance, Inc. (CHAI), offers extensive programming for older adults. The center is also part of The Associated’s AgeWell Baltimore initiative, connecting older community members to resources they need to live safe, engaged and independent lives.

Beth is joined by Myerberg members Harriet Cooper, Bess Shuster, Ernie Feibelman and Ann Cornblatt. Together, they talk about the realities of aging, the challenges that lie ahead and how the Myerberg is keeping them all connected.

The Myerberg has been helping older adults in Baltimore stay active, engaged and connected since 1976. With over 1,000 members, The Myerberg has many programs and resources available to its members, including 125 programs and classes, a state-of-the-art fitness center, Tech-Knowledge Hub, art and ceramic studios and a large event space.

For over 40 years, CHAI has strengthened neighborhoods connected to Jewish Baltimore. Through housing and community development, CHAI’s mission is to build a healthy society by responding to the needs of the whole community.

The Associated’s AgeWell Baltimore initiative provides guidance, resources and support to help older adults age with confidence and dignity. With programs to support older adults as well as their family members and caregivers, AgeWell helps members of our community stay connected.
