July is here, and with it, the lazy, hot days of summer. In between lounging by the pool, enjoying barbecues with friends and leaving town or a week-long getaway with family, check out these six ways to make this summer the best one yet.
Escape the heat and spend an afternoon at the newly re-imagined Jewish Museum of Maryland. While there, check out its newest exhibit, Psychedelicatessen. New York City artist, Steve Marcus, infuses Jewish pop art with underground comic, the psychedelic hippie culture of the 1960s and Jewish spirituality.
Get ready to rock! Turn up the summer fun with an all-star tribute to the legendary Paul McCartney at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts. Then keep the good vibes going with their lineup of summer concerts—featuring everything from smooth jazz to other crowd-pleasing tribute bands.
Check out these opportunities for great reading and conversation.
