Delve deep into the power of music to unite, educate and inspire change. Join singer-songwriter Ami Yares for a music-filled embrace and tough-love dialogue with Israeli and Jewish narratives that have shaped him as an artist and human being. While polarization seems to be becoming the norm in civil society, Ami’s music pushes back at this widening divide to help people not just tread water, but swim against these rising tides.
Ami Yares is the still small voice, picking and singing across the room, bearing his soul to make it sound for you to do the same. Singing songs of pain, perseverance and hope, Ami’s music journeys in and out of the human soul, searching for meaning amid the world’s worries and wonder. Working with Palestinians, Israelis, Jews, Christians, Muslims, refugees and more, Ami’s career spans twenty years of living and learning along peacebuilders yearning and working towards just peace, traversing continents and countries.
