February 26 @ 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Jewish Community Services (JCS) invites you to take part in two virtual and two in-person events to explore how our housing support options help individuals with developmental disabilities thrive in the community as part of Jewish Disabilities Awareness, Accessibility, and Inclusion Month (JDAIM).
Session One | February 10
This session will review DDA-funded Housing Support Services, including who is eligible and how JCS helps individuals with developmental disabilities find and maintain stable, community-based housing. The program will give participants an understanding of housing pathways and assistance.
Session Two | February 24
Visit a JCS group home and learn how our residential services provide a safe, supportive environment where individuals with developmental disabilities can build independence, develop life skills, and feel truly at home.
Session Three | February 25
Schedule a one-on-one appointment to discover how our Supported Living Services offer personalized supports that empower individuals to live independently in homes they rent or own.
Session Four | February 26
This session will break down how developmental disability services work, with a focus on eligibility versus entitlement, when to apply for services, and why timing matters. Presenters from SCI will walk participants through the application process and answer common questions to help families and referral partners navigate services.
