August 5 – August 7
The Baltimore Jewish Council, Baltimore Hebrew Institute, and the Sandra R. Berman Center for Humanity, Tolerance, and Holocaust Education at Towson University are excited to offer a meaningful professional development opportunity for educators this summer. Taking place at Towson University on August 5-7 and including a day trip to New York City for a guided visit at the Museum of Jewish Heritage on the 6th, this year’s Holocaust Educators Institute will be focusing on Jewish life prior to the beginning of the Holocaust and then the act of survival throughout the reign of Hitler’s regime. We will be joined by Dr. Lauren Granite, Director of US Educational programs for Centropa, for a full day of learning about the Jewish experience prior to the Holocaust and more, as well as scholars from Towson University. Additionally, participants will be eligible to receive continuing education credits for their participation.
