April 12 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Human Beatboxer, songwriter and audio producer Max Bent invites you to join him in a collective music-making experience. Making music as a community is an ancient and valuable human practice that fosters feelings of connectedness and joy. In the Beatbox Jam Session circle, everyone is welcome. Listening is just as important as playing. Babies are just as important as grandparents. Free movement and play are encouraged. A variety of instruments are available with which to play and experiment. Live recording and looping technology captures ideas as they happen and builds new songs on the spot. These songs are then shared with the community, their work and self-expression held in the light as something powerful and valuable.
