And yet, across our community, we’re seeing a renewed surge of Jewish pride and a hunger for Jewish life.
This is not the time to sit back. Now is the time to stand united, support each other and strengthen Jewish Baltimore.
In these uncertain times, The Associated is here for each of us. When hate surfaces, The Associated stands up. When needs grow, The Associated shows up. And when there’s a chance to strengthen Jewish life, The Associated takes action.
The Associated network was built for moments like this. For more than 105 years, The Associated has met the biggest challenges facing Jewish Baltimore and communities around the world. We have the knowledge, power, partnerships, infrastructure and trusted relationships to respond quickly and effectively. From frontline services to grassroots initiatives, The Associated and our partners are embedded in the lives of thousands. Together, we understand the needs and know how to address them.
But we can’t do it alone. It takes all of us.
Every person. Every gift. Every act of support.
Say yes and join us in our work as we:
The Associated provides a lifeline for our community, seamlessly combining deep-rooted community connections, experienced professionals and a global network spanning 70 countries. From local challenges to global crises, now is our moment to ensure help is always within reach.
We’re all watching the news and seeing the headlines—antisemitism is nothing new, but it’s louder, bolder and more dangerous than ever. Maryland now ranks among the states with the highest reported incidents. That’s why we launched The Associated’s Center for Countering Antisemitism and Hate. For our community’s safety and future, we have to do more to protect our Jewish spaces, empower people with knowledge and mobilize everyone to challenge hate wherever it appears.
Now is the time to stand strong and protect our community.
At a time when national policies and funding are shifting rapidly and the future of social services is growing increasingly uncertain, many in our community are left asking, Where will I turn? What will I do if my benefits are reduced or eliminated? In this climate, the challenges of financial instability, aging without support, living with disabilities and recovering from trauma feel even more overwhelming. As a leader in social services, we are committed to providing individuals with dignity, compassion and lasting solutions; we meet people where they are and provide them with what they need.
Now is the moment for Baltimore to stand with Israel.
We are seeing a surge in Jewish pride and connection, despite the challenges of our time. People are wearing their Star of David with confidence; families are lighting candles with young children; teens are stepping up as leaders and young adults are finding deeper meaning in Jewish life. We are opening doors at every stage by creating welcoming entry points, building grassroots connections and offering hands-on opportunities. This is our time to nurture that energy, ensure Jewish life thrives for future generations and create spaces where everyone feels they belong.
The heart of our connection to Israel and Ashkelon, to Ukraine and Odesa, and to Jewish communities across the globe are the people—standing together in moments of joy and in times of challenge.
Since October 7, lives in Israel have been turned upside down: families uprooted, communities shaken and daily life disrupted. For many, the uncertainty still feels overwhelming. We remain focused on those who need care most, while keeping Baltimore meaningfully connected.
In Odesa, as war rages on, we continue to support the Jewish community with essential aid, education and programs that sustain Jewish life.
