A pre-Shavuot gathering just for grandparents
Up your Shavuot memory-making game at this active learning session designed for grandparents only:
Baltimore ice cream aficionado and grandparent Bryan Soronson will demonstrate how to host an ice-cream tasting for your family – complete with samples from a range of regional ice cream brands and insider knowledge about the history of ice cream and the influence of Jewish ice cream makers in America.
Rabbi Tyler Dratch of Beth Am Synagogue will explain how dairy foods became a thing for Shavuot and highlight age-appropriate activities beyond ice cream that you can use at home to introduce your grandkids to Shavuot.
Check out exhibits and resources in the recently renovated Jewish Museum of Maryland.
