May is Jewish American Heritage Month, a chance for us to honor the contributions Jewish Americans have made to our country and to feel proud of the role we play in the American Jewish experience.
Thanks to your support of our Annual Campaign, throughout the year, The Associated and its network of agencies offer numerous ways to explore our heritage, deepen our Jewish identity and connect to community.
Here are several suggestions from The Associated.
Whether you’re into history, biography or can’t resist a great novel, the Jewish Library of Baltimore, located on The Associated’s Goldsmith Campus, has shelves full of Jewish stories waiting for you. This month, grab a cozy spot and enjoy a great read that spotlights Jewish life in America. The Library even has a wonderful collection of children’s titles.

Visit the Jewish Museum of Maryland and learn about Jewish contributions to our state. With a brand-new exhibit, Jews of Maryland at the Crossroads of Identity, and two historic synagogues, you can discover how Maryland’s Jews have played an important role in our state’s history. Don’t forget to take a tour of B’nai Israel Synagogue, built in 1876 and located on the Museum’s campus. The Lloyd Street Synagogue, Maryland’s oldest synagogue, is currently undergoing renovations. Join The Associated as it partners with the Baltimore Orioles for its second annual Jewish Heritage Night at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Cheer for the O’s as they take on the Tampa Bay Rays, score a special Jewish Heritage jersey and celebrate the home team alongside members of our Jewish community. Join us.
