At Johns Hopkins, David has served as Chair of the Department of Political Science, Vice Dean for Undergraduate Affairs and Director of the Jewish Studies Program. Over the past decade, he has taught a class at Hopkins entitled “Does Israel Have A Future?” which examines existential threats to Israel’s status as a Jewish democratic state. The course was profiled in the CHRONICLE OF HIGHER EDUCATION. David has won the “Best Teacher” award at Johns Hopkins three times.
