QPR is an evidence-based emergency mental health intervention consisting of three simple, practical steps that anyone can do to reduce immediate risk of suicide and help someone access longer term care. As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
1. Recognize warning signs when someone may be thinking about suicide.
2. Question someone about their risk of suicide.
3. Offer hope and persuade them to live.
4. Take steps to connect them to resources for ongoing care.
