The successful transition of a family business by the current generation is almost always challenging, for both the family and their wealth advisers. There is no one proven path to success, and the process often requires many years of careful planning, with frequent changes along the way. There are, however, certain steps that young professionals especially should take to prepare for successfully counseling clients through the process. This presentation will discuss seven of these steps.
