Reverse Tashlich

September 6 @ 10:00 am 12:00 pm

Ferry Bar Park

2899 W Peninsula Dr
Baltimore, Maryland 21230 United States
Free

Each year on Rosh Hashanah, many Jews participate in Tashlich, a ritual in which we symbolically cast away our mistakes into a body of water as we begin a new year. Reverse Tashlich transforms that tradition into action by caring for the waterways around us. Rather than throwing something into the water, we gather to remove litter and pollution, helping protect the environment and preserve our shared natural resources.

Join the Baltimore Environmental Sustainability Network (BESN) for a morning of environmental action at Ferry Bar Park. Together, we’ll help remove litter from the water.

For high school age and above. No experience is necessary. Volunteers will receive instructions, cleanup materials and snacks. Please dress appropriately: long sleeves, long pants, closed-toe shoes, hats, sunscreen and a reusable water bottle.

In partnership with Tikkun HaYam – Repair the Sea and Chizuk Amuno.

BESN is an initiative of The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore, in partnership with Adamah.
