Rekindle Baltimore is the local chapter of a national movement whose mission is to drive meaningful social change by fostering collaboration between Black and Jewish American leaders. Through intensive but structured dialogue over five learning sessions, each three hours long, Rekindle builds bridges of understanding and lasting connections.

Participants are empowered to become change-makers and inspire action, both individually and collectively. In addition to the five sessions held over 10 weeks, Rekindle holds regular social gatherings to help connect Fellows between cohorts and inspire collaboration and progress.

Strong communities are built on strong relationships. Rekindle brings Black and Jewish leaders together to learn from one another, build lasting connections and strengthen their ability to lead across differences.

Participants leave with new perspectives, trusted relationships and a growing network of leaders committed to creating positive change together.

Rekindle Fellows represent a diverse range of backgrounds – from religion, age, gender identity and more. When looking for a Rekindle Fellow we are looking for individuals who are committed to racial and social justice, lead their communities in some way, bring a diverse perspective and are willing to engage in civil discourse. Our goal is to create a diverse cohort each year so that we can create better understanding and drive social change.

You can absolutely nominate someone! If you know of a friend, colleague or family member who you think would be a great Rekindle Fellow, please use this form to submit their information. Thank you so much for spreading the word about this amazing opportunity.

In Baltimore, applying to be a Rekindle Fellow is absolutely free, as is attending the sessions once accepted. The only cost is the time needed to attend all five learning sessions, in meaningful one-to-one engagements, and small group experiential gatherings.

After he cohort ends, you will be invited to be a part of the Baltimore alumni groups. We want fellows from all cohorts to continue to be engaged with one another, attend community events together, share important life updates, and be allies for each other’s communities through advocacy, addressing hate, and education. There is also a national alumni group that shares educational events and opportunities for continued dialogue. The work doesn’t stop once the cohort ends!
