Saul will be performed by 100+ musicians on the bimah, including choir, soloists and orchestra. Based on the biblical story of Israel’s first king and his growing jealousy of David, the work explores ambition, faith, triumph, and tragedy through brilliant choruses, expressive arias, and vivid orchestral writing. From David’s victory over Goliath to Saul’s tragic downfall, this gripping musical drama remains one of the Baroque era’s most compelling achievements and a masterpiece of storytelling.
