In our first Mensches episode of 2023, Yanky Schorr is joined by Eugene Poverni, The Associated’s Fred Walpert Young Leadership Award winner. Yanky picks up Eugene for coffee and conversation at Garden & Grounds Bistro off of Falls Road in Baltimore City.
Eugene Poverni is the CEO at Poverni Sheikh Group, a commercial real estate development and credit firm in Baltimore, Maryland. Eugene chairs CHAI‘s Real Estate Committee and is an active member of the National Young Leadership Cabinet through The Jewish Federations of North America.
The Fred Walpert Young Leadership Award is an award presented to two growing young leaders based on their involvement and effective leadership within The Associated community. Eugene shares this award with his co-recipient, Chavi Abramson.
