Summer is here and so is the end of the 2024 season of Mensches in Cars, Getting Coffee.

Yanky Schorr caps off the latest Mensch season with a return to Croustille Café in Pikesville, MD. This time, Yanky sits down for a cup of joe with a dear friend and the 2024 Carole Sibel Outstanding Fundraising Achievement Awardee, Searle Mitnick.

A native of Baltimore, Searle has been involved with The Associated for over 50 years after attending a young lawyers dinner. While he didn’t know much about The Associated then, he quickly learned all the work The Associated did for his local community and has worked tirelessly to help spread the message of The Associated ever since.

A respected attorney at Gordon Feinblatt LLC, Searle has spent his time with The Associated championing Jewish education and Isarel, both topics about which he is extremely passionate.

He served on The Associated’s Day School Committee, Planning and Budget Committee, chaired Hillel and was also president of the Macks Center for Jewish Education, now known today as Macks Jewish Connection Network.

Recently, he has been excited about Partners Baltimore, a new initiative of The Associated that aims to bring people together and building community cohesiveness.

The Carole Sibel Outstanding Fundraising Achievement Award is presented to an individual who has shown commitment to The Associated as a dedicated fundraiser over a significant period of time. Recognition is given to a campaigner whose volunteer efforts support and strengthen Jewish life, ensuring a vibrant Jewish community for the future.
