An Evening of Remembrance,
Unity and Hope

On October 7, 2023, Hamas unleashed a vicious attack on Israel, killing over 1,200 innocent people, taking over 250 hostages and shattering the global Jewish community’s sense of safety.

As we mark the first anniversary of that horrible massacre, we need to mourn those who lost their lives and embrace their families, pray for the remaining hostages, pay tribute to the heroes who fought to defend our people and reaffirm our community’s strength and commitment to Israel.

We invite you to join us in prayer. Click here to access and download the prayers designed for this solemn occasion, offering words of hope, remembrance and unity.

The Baltimore Israel Coalition, in partnership with The Associated, Baltimore Jewish Council and Community Partners are hosting a community event — An Evening of Remembrance, Unity & Hope — to mark the one-year anniversary of the attacks in Israel on October 7. The program will include reflections by victims’ family members and survivors, memorial prayers led by community rabbis, remarks by senior elected officials and more.
