As an estate planning attorney, Jessica spends her days helping families think carefully about the future, protecting loved ones, preserving values and creating lasting legacies. 1. Her journey with The Associated started with a little encouragement.

Jessica credits her husband with introducing her to The Associated.

“He got involved shortly after we finished law school and encouraged me to join the IMPACT Board (Now YAD, The Associated’s Young Adult Division). Eight years later, here we are.”

2. She said yes to chairing PGRT because she wanted to give back.

Jessica has attended Planned Giving Round Table programs since the beginning of her legal career.

“The programming has always been insightful, but the networking was especially valuable as a young lawyer. After years of benefiting from PGRT, it felt like the right time to help shape the programming for others.”

3. To her, legacy means looking ahead.

When asked what the word “legacy” means, Jessica doesn’t immediately think about the past.

“The future,” she says. “The future of our community, our families and our practices. Thinking beyond where we are today helps us prepare for what comes next.”

4. She believes planned giving is one of philanthropy’s most meaningful opportunities.

Jessica hopes more people recognize that planned giving isn’t simply about financial planning.
