b'Levi RabinowitzWORKING WITH BALTIMOREANSTO HELP THEM LAND A JOBLevi Rabinowitz often wonders what his life would look like if he didnt walk through the doors of Jewish Community Services (JCS) that fateful spring day. For if it werent for the work of the agency and his career service manager Sherri Sacks, hes not sure what he would be doing now.Years ago, Levi was the owner of a global crisis communications firm. But substance use changed his life. With recovery, I sponsored numbers of people. I realized then how much I wanted to give back. I decided to become a peer recovery coach, he recalls. So at age 70, Levi decided to change careers. From the moment I walked into the JCS offices, they embraced me. It was almost miraculous how Sherri rebuilt my resume from a communications expert into someone with the tools and experience to be a peer recovery coach. She helped me with interviewing and went out of her way to connect me to employment opportunities.Today, Levi works in the emergency room at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Sherri continues to check in on him. When I was younger, I never knew I would need Associated services one day, says Levi. Without JCS, I might be in a very different place right now.'
