Josh Even Chen

A native of North Carolina, Josh has called Israel his home ever since immigrating to Israel as a child with his family in 1978. Since 1990, Josh has been involved in guiding and education in Israel and abroad, with Israeli and English speaking groups of varied ages and backgrounds. His favorite locations are Jerusalem and sites from the Second Temple time period. He believes that the utmost important factor in guiding is connecting the relevancy of the historic narrative to modern life, thus making the tour even more meaningful and memorable. Josh lives in Ma’aleh Adumim with his wife Chana and their six children, and enjoys off-road biking and tennis in his spare time.

Jared Goldfarb

Jared Goldfarb originally hails from the woods of New Hampshire. In the summer of 1996, inspired by a rekindled connection to Judaism and Jewish community, Jared moved to Jerusalem. Since then, Jared served for 8 years as the Program Director of Ta Shma: Pluralistic Jewish Learning, and works as a freelance Jewish/Israel educator for numerous institutions around the country, including the Centre for Biblical Formation at Ecce Homo, the Hebrew College Rabbinical School, Jewish Federations of North America, Tantur Ecumenical Institute, Jewish Agency, Melitz Centers for Jewish-Zionist Education, Birthright, Machon Pardes, and the Inter-religious Coordinating Council of Israel.  His specialty is teaching "text in context," with a focus on early Jewish, Christian and Muslim narratives. Jared and his partner, Elisa, live in Jerusalem with their three adorable kids, where he is a theatre addict, an avid biker and an environmental activist.

Yossef Idan, Tour Guide and Founder of IM Israel Travel Ltd.

Yossef Idan is an 8th generation Israeli from a Jewish family that made its journey from Spain to Israel dating back to 1817 and never deserted its Jewish roots. After growing up in Herzelia with his six brothers and sisters, he decided to move to a farming community to work in agriculture. After extensive traveling, Yossef wanted to combine his love for people, passion for nature and thirst for knowledge, so he became a professional Israeli tour guide. As a guide, Yossef hopes to reach an understanding of Israel vast history and sites with his travelers. Yona Leshets

In 2000, Yona started his career as a licensed tour guide in Israel. While acting as a guide, Yona loves to address the history, holiness, geography, technology, peoplehood and new directions of Israel. Although his main focus is Israel, he occasionally guides  in Greece and Japan. Currently, Yona lives with his wife and 4 children in Kochav Yair – Zur Igal, a community town in the center of Israel.

Abraham Silver

Abraham Silver was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to practicing architecture, he is a licensed tour guide and senior Jewish/Israel educator.  He has devoted the last twenty five years to creating and implementing innovative informal Jewish and Israel education.  In his role as educator, he has helped people of all ages and backgrounds understand their connection to the land of Israel and the Jewish people. He is also a lecturer on the architecture of Jerusalem at Hebrew University. Abraham and his wife Elissa live in Tel Aviv with their two seven year old daughters, Shiri and Libi.

Yoash Limon

A resident of Mitzpe Ramon, Yoash Limon is a certified tour guide who  has been living and guiding in the Negev desert of Israel for nearly a decade. In 2006, he graduated from the national school of tourism in Tel Aviv, and has since started teaching other tour guide training programs in the Negev. Before becoming an independent tour guide, Yoash was a back-country ranger at Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico. After returning to Israel, Yoash moved to Mitzpe Ramon and joined the staff of the field school of the Society for Preservation of Nature in Israel. In addition to being a certified rappelling guide, Yoash volunteers with the regional search and rescue unit. Because of these skills, he offers a broad range of hikes and treks - ranging from historical tours and geological quests to rappelling trips through desert canyons and multi-day treks.
