Claim a table and play! \n\n\n \nLooking to join a new campaign and meet new people? We’ll match you up. \n\n\n \nNo experience necessary — just a sense of wonder and a willingness to roll with whatever happens next. \n\n\n \nAges 11+ welcome. Please have each individual player register themselves so we can have accurate numbers and plan accordingly. This also ensures that everyone will get any pre-show information regarding parking or other important details. \n\n\n \nWe meet the first Sunday of every month. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n\n\n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n YAD Foodies Collective Event: A Taste of Fall\n Address provided upon registration. SUMMARY:Fall Gallery Reception: Brick by Brick\, A Lego Portrait Gallery by Ira Malis
DESCRIPTION:Fall Gallery Reception: Brick by Brick\, A Lego Portrait Gallery by Ira Malis\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nWhat happens when a retired financial executive\, a few forgotten tubs of LEGO bricks\, and a spark of creativity collide? \n\n\n \nYou get Brick by Brick\, a captivating exhibition of portrait mosaics by Baltimore artist Ira Malis. Created using just a handful of colors and thousands of LEGO pieces\, these striking works transform ordinary bricks into extraordinary images of musicians\, comedians\, actors\, athletes\, and cultural icons. \n\n\n \nVisitors to Third Space may already recognize a few familiar faces. We are proud to display Malis’s portraits of Ruth Bader Ginsburg\, Sammy Davis Jr.\, and Bette Midler year-round. This fall\, we’re expanding the collection with more than two dozen additional portraits filling our walls—many available for purchase. \n\n\n \nAn artist by doing rather than by training\, Malis discovered his medium when his teenage son outgrew his LEGO collection. Inspired by the work of artist Chuck Close\, whose larger-than-life portraits revealed themselves only when viewed from a distance\, Malis began experimenting with LEGO mosaics that work in much the same way. Up close\, they’re a fascinating arrangement of colored bricks. Step back\, and a face suddenly appears. \n\n\n \nFor the past fifteen years\, Malis has created these portraits simply for the joy of making them and sharing them with friends. Third Space is delighted to host the first public exhibition of this remarkable collection. \n\n\n \nCome see how a child’s toy\, an artist’s eye\, and thousands of tiny bricks can create something unforgettable. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n\n\n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n YAD Foodies Collective Event: A Taste of Fall\n Address provided upon registration. SUMMARY:Exploring Jewish Meditation & Spirituality
DESCRIPTION:Exploring Jewish Meditation & Spirituality\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nWork is hard. Family is hard. The world is hard. Life is hard. Even meditation seems hard. But it doesn’t have to be. \n\n\n \nIn this series of Happenings\, we’ll explore Jewish teachings\, music\, and mindfulness meditation practices designed to make life feel a bit less hard\, a bit more joyful\, a bit more aligned. No experience with meditation needed. Come comfortable and curious. \n\n\n \nWisdom from the early Chasidic movement points to a spirituality that lives in daily life. Mindfulness meditation practices can help ground us and enable us to tap into that spirituality with less of the noise that often obscures our awareness. Music and poetry awaken our creative\, non-rational minds. \n\n\n \nIn each session we will learn a bit of Jewish wisdom which will form the inspiration for our meditation and will be augmented by contemporary poetry and Jewish meditative music. Meditation will be partially guided and partially silent. Novice meditators will have plenty of support\, direction and the opportunity to find a new way of being present in life. Experienced meditators will be enriched by the energy of practicing with companions in a framework of Jewish spirituality. \n\n\n \nThese sessions are designed to be accessible for everyone at every level. Text\, music\, poetry\, meditation – If you are an expert in any of these\, you are welcome. If you are a beginner\, you are welcome. \n\n\n \nRabbi Elissa Sachs-Kohen served two Reform congregations for a total of 26 years: Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford\, CT and Baltimore Hebrew Congregation in Baltimore\, MD. Her rabbinate and personal spiritual life are deeply shaped by her participation in the Clergy Leadership Program with the Institute for Jewish Spirituality\, an 18-month fellowship bringing together early Chasidic wisdom\, mindfulness meditation\, yoga\, music\, and prayer.Join Rabbi Sachs-Kohen for Mediation Workshops in November\, January\, and into 2027. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n\n\n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n YAD Foodies Collective Event: A Taste of Fall\n Address provided upon registration. ANSCHEL is a powerful solo biodrama which tells the true story of Anschel\, an 11-year-old Polish Jewish boy whose life was forever changed when German soldiers overran Poland in 1939. Through extraordinary wit and courage\, Anschel repeatedly escaped Nazi capture\, surviving against all odds. By the end of World War II\, he was a teenager—and the only member of his family to survive the Holocaust. The play is adapted from a memoir of the same name\, written by Renate Frydman. \n\n\n \nThis is his story. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n\n\n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n YAD Foodies Collective Event: A Taste of Fall\n Address provided upon registration. SUMMARY:The Art of Fighting: The Transformative Power of Conflict with bestselling author Priya Parker
DESCRIPTION:The Art of Fighting: The Transformative Power of Conflict with bestselling author Priya Parker\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nWe say we want community\, strong teams\, meaningful relationships\, and healthy organizations. Yet many of us lack the skills to navigate the conflict that inevitably arises when people live\, work\, and create together. \n\n\n \nIn this conversation\, facilitator and bestselling author Priya Parker draws from more than two decades of experience helping groups navigate moments of transition\, tension\, and change. Drawing from her forthcoming book The Art of Fighting\, she challenges the idea that conflict is abnormal\, dysfunctional\, or something to avoid. Instead\, she argues that conflict\, when held well\, is what keeps a group relevant and becoming its fullest version of itself. \n\n\n \nMany of us oscillate between unhealthy peace and unhealthy conflict\, either avoiding difficult conversations altogether or escalating them in ways that damage relationships. Parker explores the practical skills that help people hold healthy heat: the kind of conflict that surfaces what matters\, strengthens trust\, and allows something generative to emerge. Participants will leave with a new understanding of conflict not as a threat to community but as one of the forces that help groups grow\, adapt\, and stay connected over time. \n\n\n \nSupporter Ticket pricing helps offset the true cost of this Happening\, making it possible for us to keep standard ticket prices as accessible as possible. We never want cost to be a barrier to participating. If the ticket price presents a financial challenge\, please reach out to Lou Fusco at lou@thirdspacest.org—we’re happy to help. \n\n\n \nPriya Parker is a facilitator\, strategic advisor\, and acclaimed author. She has spent 20 years helping leaders and communities have complicated conversations about community\, identity\, and vision at moments of transition. Trained in conflict resolution\, she has worked on race relations on American college campuses and on peace processes in the Arab world\, southern Africa\, and India. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n\n\n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n YAD Foodies Collective Event: A Taste of Fall\n Address provided upon registration. As old feelings resurface\, both women must navigate questions of identity\, faith\, belonging\, and desire. Following the screening\, we’ll gather for informal conversation and reflection.
