She is currently in production on Homeshare\, a documentary following returning citizens recently released from prison as they enter a radical housing program that pairs them with strangers who offer a room and a second chance\, as well as a short film on the origins and impact of Debbie Friedman’s Mi Shebeirach prayer. \n\n\n \nYevgeniy K’banchik\, Director of Photography \n\n\n \nYevgeniy is a Ukrainian-born filmmaker based in Baltimore. SUMMARY:Community Events\, Holidays & Seasons In the Kitchen: Challah & Cornbread
DESCRIPTION:Community Events\, Holidays & Seasons In the Kitchen: Challah & Cornbread\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nJoin Dr. Harriette in the Third Space kitchen for an experience of mind\, body\, and spirit. The traditional Hebrew blessing over bread thanks G!d for bringing forth bread from the earth. Be a conduit of that divine work when you make (and eat!) cross-cultural breads with challah and cornbread making. \n\n\n \nDough’s gotta rise\, so while it rests\, we will play cards and chat with our fellow breadmakers! \n\n\n \nKohenet Dr. Harriette Wimms is on faculty at Third Space at Shaarei Tfiloh. Kohenet Dr. Harriette is a community convener\, Jewish professional\, spiritual ritualist\, lecturer\, and social justice advocate for people marginalized by power and oppression. She is a Maryland licensed clinical psychologist\, and founder and executive director of the Jews of Color Mishpacha Project. \n\n\n \nAs a Black Jewish woman who has lived in and loved Baltimore for nearly 40 years\, Harriette is passionate about the mission of Third Space. Harriette feels we need “middle spaces” where we are able to meet with people who are like us and different from us\, to build connections that lift up the beauty of Baltimore and the sacredness of our diverse experiences and similar hopes for a strong Baltimore. She is especially interested in exploring legacy experiences of people in the Mondawmin and Auchentoroly Terrace neighborhoods and helping the community where Third Space lives feel welcomed and respected. \n\n\n \nK’ Harriette is a Schusterman fellow\, a Selah fellow\, and a contract trainer for Keshet. She is most proud of being mother to her 20-year-old daughter. She enjoys gardening\, sipping cups of tea in the morning\, giving hugs\, and listening to music. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n\n\n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Lion of Judah Event with Zibby Owens\n Kindly RSVP by October 6 Every Lion of Judah woman has a story.A story of leadership. SUMMARY:Consummate Believers: Adam Weinberg in Concert
DESCRIPTION:Consummate Believers: Adam Weinberg in Concert\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nConsummate Believers is a 9-song exploration of the stories told to Adam by his two grandmothers. On his mother’s side\, Sylvia Weinkranz is 104 years old. She is a Holocaust survivor. Of her\, Adam says\, “Her story of survival\, and the loss it brought is impossible to understand.” On his father’s side\, Frances Weinberg is 99 years old. Her family was already in the United States before WWII broke out. She grew up in extreme poverty and spent WWII helping families who lost loved ones in the war. She lived her life as the ultimate optimist\, and while relegated to a wheelchair since Covid\, she remains joyous. \n\n\n \n“This album is about these two women. The songs are stories drawn from tales and ideas I heard from these remarkable women.” \n\n\n \nThe show features Adam Weinberg on vocals & guitar\, Jason Matthews on keyboards and Moshe Ribbi on drums/percussion. Come and experience the full album along with other original tunes decorated with stories about the lives of Adam’s grandmothers — including tales of survival during the Holocaust. \n\n\n \nBYOBubbie! Bubbies (or Zaydies!) come for free when accompanying their grandchildren. When you enter the code BYOB at checkout\, you’ll get up to two free tickets for your grandparent(s) when you purchase a standard or supporter ticket. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Upcoming Events\n \n \n\n\n \n\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Lion of Judah Event with Zibby Owens\n Kindly RSVP by October 6 Every Lion of Judah woman has a story.A story of leadership.
