Presented by: Alicia Bickoff, Esq. and Naomi Taffet, LCSW-C, CHANA
Domestic violence crosses all religious, ethnic, and socio-economic boundaries. Social workers and other clinicians working with families must know how to identify, assess, and address domestic violence, as well be prepared to work with clients to develop meaningful, individualized safety plans.
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
• Describe the dynamics of intimate partner violence
• Identify lethality risk factors that may be present in a relationship with domestic violence
• Recognize the importance of safety planning for clients and clinicians before, during, and after therapy
Social workers and other clinicians attending this program will receive 2 Category I CEUs
We are confident that this first ChairWomen’s Mission will create memories that will live within you forever.
