The Associated’s Insight Israel Forum and Baltimore Jewish Council bring you this four-part series that explores timely questions and offers beyond-the-headlines insights from leading experts on Israel’s Arab society and internal Jewish-Arab relations.
Although each event is “stand-alone,” participation in the whole series is encouraged for a more comprehensive experience. The first program will provide valuable foundational knowledge for the following three.
Session 1 – A Complex Identity: Arab Citizens and Israel’s Jewish and Democratic Balance
Join us for an inside perspective from Mohammad Darawshe, leading expert on Jewish-Arab relations and director of the center for shared society at Givat Haviva, into the changing realities and aspirations of Arab citizens of Israel.

Session 2 – COVID-19 in Arab Society: New Realities, Old Disparities in a Shared National Crisis
We’ll hear from leaders on the frontlines and examine the role each play in dealing with the pandemic, the sense of shared crisis and cooperation, concerns about widening gaps and the impact of both on Jewish-Arab relations.
