Join us for GOING GLOBAL, a virtual series that deepens connections to the global Jewish community by highlighting today’s critical issues, personal stories and experiences to help bridge the miles.

Join Sigal Kanotopsky, U.S. Northeast regional director of the Jewish Agency for Israel, as she shares her story about making the journey to Israel from Ethiopia with her family when she was just five years old. Sigal will also spotlight Operation Zur, the current wave of Ethiopian immigration.

Sigal Kanotopsky, U.S. Northeast regional director of the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI). 


Sigal has done phenomenal work within Israel and the global Jewish community as she is recognized as a leader in social change receiving numerous awards such as the Rappaport Prize for women leading breakthroughs and selected as one of the 50 most socially influential leaders by the Yediot Aharonot national newspaper for 2018.

She now resides right outside of Philadelphia with her family. In addition to her work at JAFI, it is her personal mission to share her story and educate others about Ethiopian Aliyah and Operation Zur.
