In the face of increasing stress, polarity and disparity, how can we live the values we care about…with both skill and grace?

It  is challenging to speak our truths sometimes without disagreement or judgment from others. We may choose to remain silent or steer from controversial issues.

In every human interaction, whether as friend, family member, mentor, co-worker, leader or social activist, the practice of Compassionate Listening builds trust, connection, understanding, respectful dialogue and sustainable solutions.

Join us for a taste of Compassionate Listening where you will begin to explore the  five Core Practices of Compassionate Listening and learn the skills necessary to bring these powerful practices into your daily life:

  • Cultivating Compassion
  • Developing the Fair Witness
  • Respecting Self and Others
  • Listening with the Heart
  • Speaking from the Heart

The session will be facilitated by Amalia Phillips a Jewish educator, mediator, conflict resolution and Compassionate Listening facilitator.

Compassionate listening is

A personal practice – to cultivate inner strength, self-awareness, self-regulation and wisdom
A skill set – to enhance interpersonal relations and navigate challenging conversation
A process – to bring individuals or groups together to bridge their differences and transform conflict A healing gift – to offer a compassionate listening session to a person who feels marginalized or in pain.
